The LIDC will be holding a lunchtime webinar on Thursday 18 September 2025 at 1:00 pm (CET) / midday (UK).

Abuse of Economic Dependence in Digital Markets
Dealing with abuse of economic dependence is becoming increasingly important in digital markets.  Recent platform sector regulation and member states, through the revision of the pertinent national rules, have tried to tackle the issue in the last few years. Carmen will discuss the main problems and the solutions proposed by regulations.


SPEAKER

Carmen Estevan de Quesada is a professor of Competition Law at the University of Valencia and an expert in private enforcement of competition law.

The session will be moderated by Julia Suderow Rodriguez. Julia is a lawyer and professor at the University of Deusto.

The webinar is free for LIDC members, whilst there will be a registration fee of €30.00 for anyone wishing to register who is not a member.

An online link to join the webinar will be circulated via email to all those who have registered.
The webinar will be conducted in English.
